Massive Airbase with UAVs
This set includes the following:
AIRBASE runways, tarmac, control tower, hangars and bunkers (with detailed interiors), radar systems (tower and domes), control tower, security perimeter, navigation and communication antennas, fuel farm, base infrastructure buildings, maintenance shops, storage structures, and fixed (wood/stucco) as well as temporary (tent) base housing structures. Human air crew included (humans are overlap-ball-jointed so all limbs can be articulated without the need for rigging; for reference, see our ball-jointed soldier model collection sold separately on Turbosquid by 3DConco).

AEROSTAT tethered aerial balloon with sensor pod and detailed gondola/ground base. Human operator (ball-jointed) included.
UAV GROUND CONTROL STATION detailed internal room with dual ground control station cockpit consoles (modeled from Predator ground control station reference) and a separate, common/universal ground control station desktop console arrangement. Human pilot (ball-jointed) included.
SECURITY PERIMETER – chain link fence, razor wire, modular barrier wall system, guard towers, lift gate, sliding iron gate, awning, cement road barriers, Hesco barriers, and T-walls. Human guards (ball-jointed) included.
ENVIRONMENT sky dome, distant mountain mesh, modular terrain plates, and plant life (both low-poly billboards for distant shots and higher-poly plant objects for close-ups).
This set has been designed with maximized modularity for easy reconfiguration. Care has also been taken to maintain detail along with efficient scaling. Everything has been modeled for a balance between polygon efficiency and good 3D detail at close range.
Nearly all objects in the scene are texture mapped with a combination of specific and seamless textures. Both color maps and separate bump maps are used. (FBX, 3DS, OBJ exports also use texture maps; DXF does not.) Majority of the maps are 1024×1024 pixels, with some 2048×2048 used on large surfaces. All have been manually UV mapped and adjusted for good fit with minimized stretching.
Modeled to proper scale in meters using many reference photos and diagrams. For realism, nearly all texture maps have been generated from original photos of surfaces including cement, tarmac, corroded and clean metal, painted surfaces, desert ground and plant life, etc. Lights are also included (.max only).
This set is saved as two separate .MAX files: One for the main site area (all outdoor items and environment), and another for the interior ground control center (room with consoles and pilot). This was done to individually preserve the specific light settings for each scene. Some of the exports (3DS, OBJ, DXF) are further split to reduce burden on memory during import.
